SYBIL

An alignment of technique and emotion, the Sybil Series is inspired by the ancient Greek mythological Sibyls, or female oracles, whose prophecies emerged in layered riddles. At once feared and revered, the Sibyls embodied female autonomy and intellect in its highest form. In a nod to the Designer’s Anglo- Nigerian dual heritage, these works are a study of contrast and contradiction. Motion is pitted against stillness, fragility against strength, and heft challenges weightlessness in these fascinating works.
