This is naturally an almost impossible choice for me. The levels of creativity and craftsmanship I see from independent jewellers never fails to astound me. I’ve decided therefore to go for two, one whom I’ve invested in recently, and someone I only discovered this year whose work is definitely on my wish list. Lito (left) is a jeweller in Athens whose whimsical and colourful Il Paradiso collection became an instant obsession when I first saw it last year. I finally made her beautifully carved labradorite scarab and vintage chain ring mine last month, and it brings me great joy every time I wear it  – even if it’s only at my home office desk. Now I’m saving for one of Lola Fenhirst’s Sybil rings (right). Inspired by her Nigerian Yoruba heritage, they are a perfect balance of softness and strength, statement and wearability.
